Growing up, my mom was always crafting, often creating beautiful crystal-beaded necklaces and bracelets. She let us kids use her beads and encouraged our creativity, but had a few cases of beads that were off-limits. I always asked to use them, but the answer was always no.
That day, it dawned on me - I'm an adult now, I don't need to ask my mom's permission to use her beads. I can buy my own. Excited by this epiphany, I went home and ordered the supplies to make the earrings I had envisioned. I even called my stepdad and shared my realization, he said that my mom would be proud and amused at the same time.
With my late mom's creative influence and the freedom to use my own materials, I started making the earrings I had envisioned.
I continued to create jewelry including earrings, bracelets, necklaces. I taught myself how to wire wrap, and do chainmaille pieces. I've incorporated epoxy resin into my jewelry pieces as well as creating other epoxy items such as keychains, trinket boxes, and games. All will be available here at Glitter and Alchemy
